Basking in the Golden Glow

In this post, I want to focus a bit on items with versatility. Being able to customize your items and make them fully represent you is a HUGE asset in SecondLife. From nice HUDs, plenty of color options, or the ability to adjust size and texture... every photographer in SecondLife knows the joy of tweaking an item until it suits the photograph perfectly!

For example, the claw choker I am wearing in these pictures? It was actually originally a bracelet by Bliensen + MaiTai at the current round of Genre, but since it's unrigged, you can wear it as a choker, forehead accessory, anklet, or even garter! I love it when a creator intends for an item to be used a certain way (in this case, the theme of the event was "Underworld", which is decidedly not the theme of this picture!) and users use it in surprising ways.

Also unrigged are the Wicca earrings by [The Plastik], and each color of these comes with a wonderful HUD!

The hair is a **free** re-opening gift from Exile. This is ALSO unrigged! This is pretty rare for hairs nowadays, but it's awesome for re-positioning in photos. Plus, it's a free fatpack of editorial hair... I mean... what is not to love?

Another GREAT item I'm wearing is the Mythic Ears by [Gauze&Trap], which were just released at Fantasy Faire. These bad body come with a similar HUD to their previous ear releases... which is awesome. You can adjust the skin tone, highlight color, shadow color, pattern texture, and even make your ear tips glow! I can only hope that they continue to collaborate and make even more ears, because these are a must-have.
